If you are interested in taking part in one of our programmes, we will normally ask you to complete one of our casting application forms. We may also interview you in person or by telephone. Any information that you provide to us as part of the casting process will only be used by us for the purpose of assessing your application and, if your application is successful, for dealing with your involvement in the programme. We will not use it for any other purpose without your permission.
In order to assess your application we may need to share the information you provide to us with the broadcaster or the relevant members of the production team. If your application is successful and you go on to take part in one of our programmes it may also become necessary for us to provide your information to a publicist or distributor. We will not share your details with anyone else without your prior permission. The only exception to this is if we are required by law to disclose the information.
If your application is successful and you go on to take part in one of our programmes, we will compile a file containing all the details we hold about you. This will include your original application form and any other information that you provide to us. We will usually retain this file for the duration of the production of the programme in which you are involved. In some cases, this may be a period of several years. We will take steps to ensure that your file is kept secure and we will only use the information held on it for purposes directly relevant to your involvement in the programme. If your application is unsuccessful, the information you have provided to us will be destroyed in a confidential manner shortly after the casting process has been completed. We will only keep your details for longer than this if you have confirmed that you want us to hold your details on file so that we can consider you for future casting opportunities. If you subsequently change your mind, you can let us know and we will destroy your information. In any event, our policy is to review the details that we hold on file on a regular basis to ensure that we do not hold information any longer than is necessary. This means that we usually do not expect to retain anyone’s details for longer than 2 years from the date of their original application.
If you are interested in working for Outline Productions, you are welcome to send us your C.V. so that we can see whether we have any positions that may be suitable for you. You can send us your details via our website, by email or by post. We will only use the information that you send to us for the purposes of assessing your suitability for working with us. In order to do this, we may need to share your details with a broadcaster. We will not share your details with anyone else without your prior permission. The only exception to this is if we are required by law to disclose the information. We take steps to ensure that any information that you send to us is kept secure.
We will get in touch with you if we think that we have a position that might be of interest to you. If we do not have anything suitable, we will hold your details on file so that we can consider you for future vacancies. If you would rather than we did not keep your details on file, you should let us know and we will delete them straightaway. In any event, our policy is to review the C.V.s we hold on file on a regular basis to ensure that the information we hold is up-to-date. This means that we usually do not expect to retain anyone’s details for longer than 2 years if we have been unable to find a suitable position for them within that period.
ACCESSING YOUR INFORMATION
