I’d never heard of Tom Kerridge until his Christmas special appeared on this channel last December, but he’s an easy guy to love, especially in this context. There’s something wonderfully Dickensian about him: his round, jolly face; his bluff, working class manner; his evident love of a good feed. And while the food he cooks often looks a little time consuming, it’s also simple and delicious. Any kind of fancy burger instantly goes on my own “try this at home” list, but the standout tonight was his clever use of potato skins. Check it out.
