UK-based factual specialist Outline Productions has hired a former Studio Lambert executive as head of development, with an eye to building up business in the US.
While at Studio Lambert she built and led its entertainment and factual format development team, creating series for broadcasters in the UK and US.
Prior to her stint there, Baldwin was producer and director at ITV Studios working on series including Come Dine With Me and Hell’s Kitchen.
Laura Mansfield, MD of Outline Productions said the appointment would help boost the company’s drive into the US market.
Mansfield said: “This year as we look to widen our broadcaster base, particularly in the US, Shona’s creativity, passion and international experience in developing high impact formats will be invaluable.”
Baldwin will report to Outline’s creative director Helen Veale.
Last year Outline produced Britain’s Big Wildlife Revival (6×60’) for BBC1, Million Dollar Intern (10×60’) for BBC Worldwide Global Channels and Health Freaks (6×30’) for C4 among others.
