Outline Productions is to continue to grow its ‘Revival’ brands with a BBC2 series about gardening.
The indie has been commissioned to make 10 x 60-minute series Great British Garden Revival, which will aim to re-engage viewers with their gardens amid the “trend for easy-to-maintain lawns and patios”.
In each episode two presenters will tackle an ‘endangered’ aspect of gardening and offer the audience practical advice on how they can restore and care for their outdoor space. It will include items on cottage and kitchen gardens, as well as specific garden features, such was wildflowers.
Much like Great British Food Revival and Britain’s Big Wildlife Revival, the series includes contributions from a diverse range of talent. Monty Don, Carol Klein and Joe Swift are among the names that will appear.
Great British Garden Revival was commissioned by Lindsay Bradbury, BBC commissioning editor for daytime, while Bridget Boseley is executive producing the series, with Gary Broadhurst series producing.
The series was developed by Outline head of development Ross McCarthy and creative director Helen Veale.
