Laura Mansfield

Managing and Creative Director

Co-founder of Outline, Laura has developed and executive produced a broad range of successful and award-winning programmes, delivering hundreds of hours of high quality and returning series. Recent credits include glossy food and travel series Remarkable Places to Eat for BBC2 & now C4, Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country, Channel’s 4’s most watched 8.00pm new factual launch of 2020 and a consistent performer for the channel, and Rochelle Humes: Interior Designer in the Making. Other Outline credits include House of Tiny Tearaways (BBC 3 and TLC USA ), Born On The Same Day (Channel 4), Show Me Your Garden (Sky1), Million Dollar Intern (BBC Worldwide), Emergency with Angela Griffin (Sky1), and Guinness World Records Smashed (Sky1).

Laura was elected to Pact Council (Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television) in 2012 and served as the respected trade association’s chair from 2015 to 2017.  During this time she represented and promoted the commercial interests of the UK TV and Film industry, representing some 450 production companies in the UK and helping launch Pact US. She has been a leading advocate for public service television, and a champion for improving diversity across the industry. Laura regularly acts as mentor to others in the industry, and is a frequent public speaker, chairing awards juries and contributing to industry panels and masterclasses in the UK and abroad.

Laura began her TV career at BBC Manchester on Youth and Entertainment series Reportage and The Travel Show. Prior to starting Outline she was a producer on leading entertainment shows including Eurotrash, The Clive James Show, Clive James on TV, Murray Walker’s Top Ten and Angus Deayton’s End of the Year Show working with global stars from Michael Schumacher and Jeremy Clarkson to The Spice Girls, Kermit and Miss Piggy!
