What’s On TV – Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food

There’s definitely a trend among some TV chefs toinsist that their recipes aren’t too ‘cheffy’ to be attempted at home. Tom Kerridge has two Michelin stars and has twice been chosen to cook the main course for The Great British Menu but he’s a big fan of uncomplicated, ‘no bother’ cooking. Tonight he demonstrates dishes to serve for a group of friends, including slow-cooked lamb with pommes boulangère, moules marinière with ale instead of wine and mountainous salt beef bagels. He’s the most genial of presenters and we’ll be surprised if you don’t end up trying out at least one of the recipes.
