Televisual – Outline gets second helping of Kerridge on BBC2

Outline Productions is to make a new 6×30-minute series for BBC2 featuring double-Michelin starred chef, Tom Kerridge called Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes.

The new series was commissioned By Alison Kirkham, Head of Commissioning, Factual Features & Formats, BBC One and Two.

Kerridge will create his ‘best ever’ versions of some of Britain’s favourite dishes. In each episode, he’ll also cook for a critical crowd in order to persuade them that his dishes are worth the extra effort and really are the best ever.

Tom Kerridge says: “I’m massively pleased and privileged to be asked by the BBC to do a second series, this time entitled Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes. I’ll be cooking some of the nation’s favourite foods but putting my twist on them and visiting some interesting and passionate people comparing their version of a great dish to mine. Can’t wait!”

Alison Kirkham says: “Tom Kerridge stands out as one of the most successful new talent launches of the year. The audience immediately loved him and his unpretentious approach to cooking and eating. I’m thrilled that we’re able to bring him back on air so soon and hope this is just the beginning of a long and varied career for Tom on the channel.”

Bridget Boseley, Director of Programmes at Outline Productions, says: “We are delighted to be working with Tom again. The public have really taken to him as they love his down-to-earth and unpretentious style. In this new series he will continue to cook food we all want to eat but show us how to make it even more delicious.”

Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes is series directed by Sarah Myland for Outline Productions, the series producers are Tanya Gottlieb and Sally Wingate; the executive producers are Bridget Boseley for Outline Productions and Lindsay Bradbury for the BBC.
