Tom Kerridge is to cook up his version of the perfect Christmas dinner in a special for BBC2.
Hot on the heels of Outline Production’s series Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food, BBC2 has ordered 30-minute special Tom Kerridge Cooks Christmas.
The two-time Michelin star winner will bring his unique take on serving turkey with all the trimmings. He plans to cook his bird using an unusual technique and covering it a pistachio and dried cranberry crumble.
“This isn’t just any Christmas dinner, this is Christmas dinner Tom Kerridge style which means everything is pushed that little bit further to make it a real celebration feast,” said Alison Kirkham, BBC commissioning editor, factual features and formats.
She commissioned the show alongside BBC2 controller Janice Hadlow. The executive producers are Kirkham and Bridget Boseley for Outline.
Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food has so far attracted an average overnight audience of 2m (8.6%) on a Monday night on BBC2.
