We take pride in the high calibre and bold editorial ambition of our programmes, and bring our passion for excellence to a broad range of subjects, with global appeal, from food and gardening to business and health. Over the years, our innovative approach has seen us create returning series and build strong programme brands like our Revival series (Great British Food Revival, Britain’s Big Wildlife Revival and Great British Garden Revival), Health Freaks, Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food, Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes, Million Dollar Intern, Jo Frost: Extreme Parental Guidance, Fat Families, Dumped and The House of Tiny Tearaways.
We have developed and produced large scale reality shows as well as lifestyle, entertainment and popular factual series for broadcasters including BBC1, BBC 2, BBC 3, Channel 4, ITV, five, Sky 1, Sky Living, UKTV, Discovery UK and US and TLC.
Outline was established in 1999 by MD Laura Mansfield and Creative Director Helen Veale, who were joined in 2008 by Director of Programmes Bridget Boseley. Focusing on shows with a clear sense of purpose, the company aims to balance an entertaining approach with journalistic rigour and ethical integrity. We have developed a strong reputation for working well with on screen talent, and helping them develop their passions. We like to listen, and seek to bring together teams who care as much about what happens off-screen as on camera to create a positive, productive working atmosphere.
Outline sets out to work with the most talented and innovative people in television. We strive not only for excellence on screen, but to create a supportive, enjoyable and dynamic workplace with a strong sense of teamwork. The strengths of the company lie not only in the creative innovation behind our shows, but in the passion and dedication of everyone at Outline who make it happen.
In September 2014, Outline was extremely proud to be voted into the top 10 Indies by the prestigious Televisual Producer Peer Poll.
